Question: Whirring/rough sound at 2500 RPMs
First, when I first start up my car and drive off there is a slight poof sound, like built up air releasing from somewhere when I am accelerating at the beginning of my drive.
Next, when I am driving normally (interstate, highway, normal road) every time my car gets up to or drops down to 2500 RPMs it runs rough and feels like something is holding it back from running perfectly smooth.
The sound is windy, like air rushing past something, like whoosh. Then once I get above or below 2500 RPMs the noise and roughness stops.
I do not know if these are individual problems or have something to do with each other. Please let me know what you think. I appreciate your help.
Thank you.
